Ban the wasteful use of single-use plastics in all schools in Harrogate!

Plastic forks are terrible for the environment. They can't be re-cycled or re-used. This plastic is poisoning animals in our oceans, and turtles often ingest whole pieces of disposable cutlery. Here at my school,Rossett, where we pride ourselves on being Responsible, we throw away over 39,000 plastic forks, and so every single fork you use could kill an animal. This needs to be stopped. All single-use plastics must be banned in Harrogate schools for use at breaks and lunchtimes. It is absolutely disgusting.
We want to propose guidelines that schools must follow by, to reduce single-use plastics, so schools can no longer hand out plastic forks, and all students must have re useable water bottles. We must limit and ban all single use plastics in schools.
Also, we are campaigning to immediately remove plastic forks from Rossett School, where we use and throw away over 200 plastic forks every day!
Hopefully, if Harrogate Council take the plunge, Manyothers will follow!
