Ban the Warwickshire Hunt from council land

Ban the Warwickshire Hunt from council land
Why this petition matters

Last season the Warwickshire Hunt were filmed killing 5 foxes and 1 deer. They have been recorded illegally hunting on 62 seperate days last season. Their hunt supporters where filmed being aggressive yobs with one hunt supporter issuing death threats to saboteurs. The animal abuse also extended to their own horses with one rider being investigated by the RSPCA after being filmed beating his horse with a riding crop.
The Warwickshire Hunt have no respect for private property, going where they want when they want including regularly trespassing. In previous years they have trespassed repeatedly on MOD land and through various local schools and villages causing one local village to ban the hunt completely from their village with a number of other villages looking to follow in their footsteps. In 2020 they got into trouble with British Transport Police and ended up paying a £13,000 fine for trespassing on a busy railway line.
The same arrogance also applies to busy main roads which are regularly brought to a standstill so that illegal hunting can take place across the road. A few years ago their behaviour even held up an ambulance on blue lights. More recently they caused a road traffic accident on a busy road into Kineton.
The Warwickshire Hunt have been known to venture onto council owned land. This petition is calling on Warwickshire County Council to ban “trail hunting” from their land. This will not only be a chance for the council to take a public stance on “trail hunting” but will also prevent Warwickshire County Council from being liable to prosecution under Section 3 of the Hunting Act
