Hello, petition readers. 

It's no secret at all that the internet is extremely dangerous - and the video game "Roblox" is a big factor towards how unsafe it really is. According to a Statista chart from December 2024, 40% of global Roblox players are under 13 years old, whilst 44% are above 17. Roblox is estimated to have over 40 million games of all types, ranging from real life simulators like "Grow a Garden", to "obbies" (obstacle courses to test players' parkour skill) such as "Tower of Hell". With the sheer amount of games on the platform, it comes with no surprise that some - well, a lot of - inappropriate ones sneak in there. 

Well, that's simply a major problem when it comes to child safety. Roblox's moderation team is certainly not focused on the inappropriate content on their platform, such as inappropriate avatar accessories or emotes, known as user-generated content (UGC). In addition, there are many pedophiles lurking around, looking to groom children. It's no shock that Roblox is a very unsafe platform for children across the U.S., and even across the world. 

Right now could really be the time to act. Roblox's moderation team is trying to silence the community after taking legal action (sending a legal cease and desist letter) against Schlep, a well-known "predator catcher" (someone who poses as a minor to interact with individuals who are suspected to behave predatorily). Now, elected officials are beginning to take action and start petitions based on Roblox's child safety. 

It only takes a couple minutes for you to help spread the word - sign this petition, and help American children and their parents today.  Many parents don't even consider what their kids say and do on the internet anymore. - and that's very saddening to see. Many children have been groomed, kidnapped, and traumatized due to platforms like Roblox, and parents not watching their children's activity online. 

Thanks for taking your time to read the story. Now, I hope you understand Roblox is a very dangerous platform. If you're a parent yourself, I advise you to get your kids off of Roblox, and even the internet. If you're a minor or just don't have kids, I'd advise you get off Roblox as well. Signing the petition and sharing it would make this even better, and potentially even make this go into action. 

Update: Roblox is currently undergoing extreme fire across social media platforms. It's being sued by the Attorney General in Louisiana, and has already been banned in Qatar. Multiple people are now reporting they're being moderated for using "#FreeSchlep" on Roblox. Chris Hansen, known for "To Catch a Predator" on Dateline, has partnered with Schlep to make a documentary covering Roblox. Petition is reopened for signers.
