Petition updateBan the use of wild animals in circuses across the UK!Time to push for change - #WorldCircusDay

Today is world circus day. Perhaps a day of celebration and entertainment for many clowns, magicians, and jugglers - but not for the 18 animals who are still bound up in the archaic practice of animal entertainment.

Over 160,000 of you agree that this is an outdated and cruel tradition. We have petitioned and asked graciously for these 18 animals to be retired and taken to sanctuaries and for the use of animals in circuses to be banned.

We must continue to campaign for the freedom of these animals, and there is no better day than #WorldCircusDay.

Please tweet (this) (or compose something similar) to directly ask Michael Gove to ban the use of wild animals in circuses across the UK.

Today is #WorldCircusDay - a day to remember that there are still animals imprisoned in circuses right here in the UK. That’s why I’m asking @DefraGovUK to ban the use of wild animals in circuses across the UK and recognize that this is an outdated and unnecessary practice.

Thank you for all of your support! :)
