Hi. I’m a student at Swanton and it is safe to say that there are a lot of people that are sick of seeing the AI posters. Not just posters, but graphics and printed images  being posted on social media or even on the walls of our schools. 

Our school constantly talks about student pride, but how are we supposed to be proud when graphics aren’t even made by the students? In my opinion, gen AI is taking away opportunities for students to create, design, and have their work shown off. In the high school there is a wonderful Multimedia class that does these things and the school doesn’t promote those newsletters or graphics.

(And my personal opinion? The AI is truly just lazy. And it looks like sloppy garbage.)

What I ask is for the Swanton Local Schools to get rid of, or at the very least minimize the amount of generative AI being produced, posted, and promoted.
