Ban the Use of Digital Drugs and Psychotronic Technologies in Music, Media, and Entertainm
The Issue
This issue is incredibly personal for me, as I am watching the rampant spread of the use of digital drugs across the globe. It is staggering to consider that millions of people worldwide are now exploring these potentially harmful substances in the digital realm. The rapid pace of technological advancement makes immediate action imperative, for the sake of our families and the future of our world.
Digital drugs, or iDosing, comprises the practice of using audio files - often known as "binaural beats" - to attempt to alter one's mental state. Alongside this, psychotronic technologies, which may manipulate human behavior, are increasingly being embedded into our music, media, and entertainment.
While research into these phenomena is in its early stages, initial findings suggest that these practices could have detrimental effects on the brain - particularly amongst heavy users (Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews, 2020). Further research is needed to fully understand the long-term implications, but already there is enough cause for concern.
I am calling upon legislators to recognize the harmful effects of digital drugs and psychotronic technologies and to act swiftly to ban their use in music, media, and entertainment. This isn't about halting technological growth; it's about preserving our communal health and protecting our future generations.
If you agree that these digital substances and psychotronic technologies should be restricted, please sign this petition. Your signature could help protect the mental health and well-being of people across the globe who are intentionally and or unsuspectingly exposed to these technologies. Act now to say no to digital drugs and psychotronic technologies in our media.
