In European laboratories, more than 100 animals (according to ECEAE) are exposed to painful experiments every ten minutes. Not to mention the thousands of laboratory animals kept for this purpose on special farms, which this fate awaits. They are tested not only for the purpose of developing drugs for humans, but also for us completely incomprehensible results such as the reaction to the influence of an external stimulus. The course of the experiment is monitored by inserting electrodes into the brain or other part of the animal's body and, in order to obtain the most accurate results, the animal is fully conscious at all times and no pain relief agents are administered.

Whether and when alternative methods to compensate for animal suffering in experiments depends on various factors. One of them, and quite significant, is the pressure of the public to end or at least reduce to the maximum possible extent the abuse of innocent animals on behalf of science and humanity.
