Fireworks are extremely bad for the environment, a single one can release 17kg of carbon dioxide into the environment and significantly raise the risk of bush fires, which badly affect the lives of Australian people and wildlife daily.

Not only that, but fireworks are also loud and explosive, which upset and terrify: pets, wild animals, babies and young children as well as people with PTSD and Alzheimers. Considering this Country has an entire day about respecting people that fought in the war for us, there doesn't seem to be a lot of respect for the mental state of veterans living here

Fireworks should be banned with the exception of licensed professional pyrotechnic companies, on specific days (i.e New Years) in underpopulated locations, with warnings the day beforehand
