Ban the Trade of Rabbit Wool in Massachusetts

Ban the Trade of Rabbit Wool in Massachusetts
The Issue
In multiple places in the world there are Angora Rabbit farms where animals are tortured and killed. California has already started banning the sale and manufacture of rabbit fur, and as of this year, it will be officially outlawed. I believe that Massachusetts should follow suit.
In about 2013, the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) went undercover into an Angora farm in China. They found that these Angora rabbits were having their fur forcefully ripped off of them every three months, and some rabbits were being hung from the ceiling. Other rabbits had their necks permanently bent because their ears were being stepped on. These rabbits also had no protection from the weather, no space to run around, no fresh greens, and the area was dirty. Many of them had infections on them due to sitting in their waste. One video that the PETA took is linked here: https://vimeo.com/489171122 Later in about 2016, One Voice went into France and found many more rabbits under the same conditions. These are not the only farms out there, but China supplies 90% of rabbit fur. Many large companies had started banning rabbit fur since 2013, but after a couple years and COVID many people have seemed to have forgotten about it. I would like to bring the issue renewed attention.
Sign this petition to support my letter to Senator Tarr, Representative Ramos, and the PETA, to follow California's good example and ban the sale and manufacture of rabbit fur
