Ban The Sale Of Mink Eyelashes In Australia

Ban the sale and importation of mink eyelashes in Australia.
Mink eyelashes have become more and more popular in the recent years, with celebrity endorsements and cheap prices. They give the illusion of longer fuller lashes but it isn't worth the abuse and torture of these beautiful animals.
There is no way to get "cruelty free" mink fur as these poor animals are kept on cruel fur farms. Usually in individual cages, as minks are solitary animals and can become aggressive. Especially when cramped in such a small space.
As anyone who has looked into the mink fur industry will know, minks are killed when their winter coats come in, so the fur taken for eyelashes would be taken just before or after the death of the mink.
Mink eyelashes are an unnecessary product. Especially when there are hundreds of other cruelty free synthetic brands available that work just as good, if not better.
