There was an event that has made me want to start this petition. I walked past a shop in my hometown of Skegness and i was appalled to see 3 golliwogs in the window for sale. I was shocked to find that this isn't a one off and they are seen for sale at other shops around the UK. I think it sends a clear message out that we are stuck in the past and that racism is still rife in this country. I would like to see the ban of these awful dolls in the UK.
