Ban the Sale of Feel Free by Botanic Tonics

Ban the Sale of Feel Free by Botanic Tonics
The Issue
I personally became addicted to Feel Free after trying them in June of 2022, when they were marketed as an alcohol alternative for sober individuals. I had just quit drinking alcohol at this time. Feel Free does not warn of its opiate-like effects on the brain and markets itself as a trendy "wellness tonic". This product caused devastation to my life mentally, physically, financially, and emotionally without a warning and no education on how dangerous it can be.
Millions of consumers are being misled by the deceptive marketing tactics of Botanic Tonics, the creators of Feel Free. This beverage claims to be a natural, plant-based alternative to alcohol, targeting those striving for a healthier lifestyle or seeking sobriety. However, the reality is far from this benign image. Feel Free contains kava and kratom, substances that have been known to exhibit effects similar to opiates, which can lead to dependency and serious health issues similar to what I experienced.
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, kratom has been associated with psychotic symptoms and withdrawal reactions. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have also reported cases of death involving kratom ingestion. Additionally, kava, though traditional in some cultures, is not without risk as it can lead to severe liver injury.
Despite these known risks, Feel Free continues to be sold across the United States, potentially endangering millions of lives. Without proper regulatory oversight and clear consumer education, products like Feel Free pose a significant public health risk. Even though some users might not face immediate dangers, the long-term effects and potential for addiction are too great to ignore.
We must urge the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other relevant authorities to take immediate action by banning the sale of Feel Free by Botanic Tonics throughout the United States. It's crucial to protect individuals from unknowingly jeopardizing their health and well-being due to misleading product claims.
Please join me in calling for a ban on the sale of Feel Free. Together, we can prevent others from facing the physical, emotional, and financial hardships that can result from consuming this product. Sign this petition to demand change and ensure safety for all.
