Ban the Production and Sale of Noise-Producing Fireworks

The Issue

As a dog owner, I am deeply distressed by the fear and anxiety that noise-producing fireworks cause in animals. Our pets shake, vomit, pant, and sweat due to the loud bangs from these fireworks. It's heartbreaking to watch them suffer so intensely. Silent fireworks can still provide enjoyment for events like Bonfire Night without causing such distress to our beloved animals.

In addition to pets, wildlife is also adversely affected by noisy fireworks. The RSPCA reports that every year they receive approximately 2,300 calls about firework-related issues concerning wildlife (RSPCA). This indicates a significant problem that needs addressing.

Moreover, noise pollution caused by fireworks is not limited only to animals but affects humans as well. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), exposure to prolonged or excessive noise has been shown to cause a range of health problems ranging from stress, poor concentration, productivity losses in the workplace, and communication difficulties.

By making production and selling of noise-producing fireworks illegal we can protect our pets and wildlife while also reducing unnecessary noise pollution for humans too. Please sign this petition if you believe in creating safer environments for all creatures - big or small - who share our world with us.
