BAN THE MIRENA IUD

BAN THE MIRENA IUD
This uterine device has a lot of adverse side effects such as Hair loss, hair growth, weight gain, UTI'S, abnormal discharge, mood changes , depression, anxiety, abdominal & back pain, device migration, organ perforation, cancer, Ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease, bleeding, Pseudotumor Cerebri (PTC), ovarian cysts, migraines, bloating, nerve & joint pain, tinnitus, low libido, dizziness, heart palpitations, chest tightness, nervousness, nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness or pain, itching or skin rash, increased blood pressure, sepsis, tired or weakness, fog brain, periodontal disease. THE LIST IS ENDLESS.............. The synthetic hormone LEVONORGESTREL that is in the Mirena is dangerous.
In other cases the iud would dislodge and embed itself in the uterine lining causing permanent damage and having to have a surgical procedure to remove it. Some of us were persuaded and pushed into getting this device not knowing the risk that came along with it.
A search of the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FEARS) Public Dashboard on July 16th, 2018, showed the FDA received 91,265 reports of Mirena side effects from December 2000 to March 2018 . A total of 37,990 reports involved serious cases. That figure includes 131 deaths.
In March and December 2009, the FDA issued 2 warnings to Bayer for overstating the effectiveness of the device and minimising risks. Bayer had claimed in its "Simple Style" live marketing talks targeting "busy mums" that the IUD would help women with increased libido and that they would "look and feel great"..... That was not the case !!!
As shared in the warning letter, at least 5 percent of women using Mirena had/are reporting decreased libido during clinical trials. The Division of Drug Marketing, Advertising, and Communications (DDMAC), a department of the FDA that review marketing plans and doctor pharmaceuticals had concluded that the program.....
* Overstated the effectiveness of Mirena.
* Downplaying the serious health risks of Mirena.
* Sponsoring misleading links about Mirena on internet search engines.
* Failing to communicate proper risk information to women and their doctors.
Thousands of lawsuits have been filed against Bayer regarding Mirena. Some victims have received compensation for their injuries, but others may still be pending.
Ban Mirena from being a choice of a contraceptive and stop wrecking lives.
