Help Us Put an End to Aintree Grand National's Horrific Consequences & end the cruelty & suffering to this outdated horrific sport altogether, help this petition reach 100,000 signatures to take to parliament

Every year innocent horses die or are seriously injured in the name of entertainment & gambling, if things stay the same at Aintree & the safety measures aren't readdressed then more horses are going to die or be seriously injured when racing.  

• At this year's 2023 race alone 3 horses died the third fatality suffered a broken neck at the first fence & died of its injuries. British racing & The Jockey Club & BHA have blood on their hands for not acting on this or putting better safety measures in place, as Aintree racecourse is one of the longest and most hazardous courses in the world & having a “high risk factor” is “what makes it famous”.

The death toll at the Aintree festival is now 62 horses since 2000 - 16 killed in the Grand National, including two last year & 3 this year.

Every time horses are forced to jump over these excessively high obstacles, it puts tremendous pressure on their slender front legs and they risk broken legs, necks and backs.

• In some cases, drugs – both legal and illegal – have been administered to mask the pain of horses who should have been recuperating so that they could instead be forced to run with injuries, making them worse. Even those who make it off the track alive are still likely to suffer. Thousands of horses – including those who don’t ‘make the grade’ – are discarded like used betting slips every year. They’re abandoned, neglected, or sold for slaughter.
