Ban the EBU from Future Eurovision Song Contests for a Non-Political Musical Competition

Ban the EBU from Future Eurovision Song Contests for a Non-Political Musical Competition
Das Problem
The Eurovision Song Contest, since its inception in 1956, has been a platform for countries to showcase their musical talents. However, over the years, it has become increasingly politicized. This petition calls for the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to be banned from future contests to ensure that it remains a genuine musical competition rather than a political battleground.
The EBU is responsible for organizing and producing the contest each year. Unfortunately, there have been numerous instances where political bias and favoritism have overshadowed the true spirit of this international music event. For example, in 2019 when Iceland's act displayed Palestinian flags during voting results as an act of protest against Israel hosting the contest.
We believe that music should unite people regardless of their political beliefs or nationalities. It's time we return Eurovision back to its roots - celebrating diversity through music rather than politics.
By banning the EBU from future contests and replacing it with an impartial body committed solely to promoting music and cultural exchange, we can restore fairness and integrity in this beloved competition.
Let's make Eurovision about music again! Sign this petition if you agree that politics should stay out of our song contest!
