Ban the Bucking Strap!

The Flank Strap more commonly known as the Bucking Strap is one of the most blatant examples of animals cruelty in any rodeo. 

The reason that both horses and bulls buck in rodeos is the Flank Strap.

The Flank Strap is placed around the animals midsection or flank and pulled tightly over their penis as the animals leave the chute or holding area causing pain and agitation as they enter the rodeo. 

This practice is blatant animal cruelty and should be banned from use. 

The pain and suffering endured by these animals is clear as they buck and fight to break free from the Flank Strap. 

We are asking the Salinas Rodeo to discontinue the use of the Flank Strap on all animals at their rodeos. 

Please join us in letting the Salinas Rodeo know that the public demands that they discontinue their use of the Flank Strap.
