The American bully also, and less commonly know as the American pit-bull terrier is not listed as a banned breed in the UK. The pit-bull (that's what it is/was) that mauled Bella-Rea Birch to death at just 17 months old was visually identified as a pit-bull type dog. the police identified it as "not a banned breed" This is a loophole in the law that allows pit-bull type dogs to pose a threat as we've seen. In spite of the lies from the pro-pit-bull/bully breed lobby, these are NOT nanny-dogs, they are a fighting breed for back when dog fighting was a legal and popular observer sport not family pets. I ask with this petition to add this breed to the list of banned breed on the dangerous dogs act.
