Sticky glue traps are currently being used to counter the mouse infestation in the MSU-CVM Purina Food Room.

As advocates for animal welfare and the humane treatment of animals, we are tasked to set an example for the rest of the community, starting with the humane disposal of pest animals.

Sticky mouse traps are inhumane and should not be used. The mice trapped in sticky traps suffer great injury, insult, and distress. Instead of sticky glue traps, we propose using humane euthanasia methods such as snap traps, or start a catch and release program to end animal suffering.
