Hello all,

Myself and another neighbor whom is a retired law enforcement spoke together with Mindy who is the manager over Debbie the Surprise code enforcement officer that goes to the homes and inspects for code violations. Tuns out the 16530 W. Questa Dr, Surprise AZ 86387 had a court date that is in the 3rd week of March. The other three have all received violations. As a result it APPEARS that the 16562 W Questa Dr Surprise AZ 85387 got the hint and removed 5 twin mattress into a Uhaul yesterday afternoon. They still have to go to court for the violations, but having them pack up now and it feels good! We are winning.

For those whom said “leave them alone”, or “they aren’t bothering anyone”, it’s about operating within the law. People are starting to understand that these type of places have no oversight or accountability. Being a “Sober Living Home” and using drugs or alcohol do not go together, but this is what the tenants are doing. They are also making our neighborhoods unsafe for children to ride their bikes or play in the parks. I don’t want to live in fear or see the single mother down the street living in fear not allowing her kid to be a kid.

This is what this this petition is about. Protecting our neighborhoods and living without fear that it is unsafe for our children.
