Shein, an online fast-fashion retailer, ships thousands of packages into Colorado every day. These packages contribute significantly to our waste problem. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), packaging constitutes about 30% of municipal solid waste in the United States. Furthermore, the transportation of these goods adds considerably to our carbon footprint.

The fashion industry is already one of the largest polluters globally and fast fashion companies like Shein exacerbate this issue with their excessive packaging and high product turnover rates. It's time for us Coloradans to take a stand against this environmentally damaging practice.
