This issue affects students nationwide, including me. Securely, an app preinstalled on school-issued Chromebooks, poses a severe threat to our privacy. I've come to discover that not only is it monitoring our activities, it's also selling our information, which is a blatant invasion of privacy.

Recent studies have indicated how much private data can be utilized by such software. According to a survey by the National Education Policy Center, over 60% of educational apps forward user data to third parties, many of whom have questionable security measures in place. It's a perilous scenario, with information often handled by entities with little to zero regulations.

Our fight here is not only for the protection of our personal information but also for the sanctity of our digital world. We owe it to our future generations to set up the right precedence. We demand that Securely be banned from school Chromebooks, and for our schools to ensure that any future software they employ respects student privacy. The rights of our students must be protected.
