Usually I am not the one to be making petitions and signing them, but I will need your help in signing and forwarding this petition, because it all starts with “one person” out there and then millions come together. I really can’t do it without your support so help me fight for this cause. Before we move any further let’s have a brief discussion about the show itself.
A new show has aired on Hulu and Disney+ named “Secrets and Sisterhood” which revolves around 10 Americanized Modern Muslim Afghan sisters whose parents immigrated to USA in the early 80s, although the four elder sisters are a bit more traditional, the six younger ones are a disgrace to both the Muslim and Afghan Communities, the false representation of liberal and modern Muslim not only misleading but also very provoking because of the normalization of homosexuality, sex, alcohol, drugs, mocking religion and labeling it as “sexist”, depicting both Afghan Culture and Islam in a very “oppressive” way. It is very destructive for young minds, the youth is greatly influenced by the power of social media, it can ruin minds into thinking this is normal for a west born muslim. This show neither represents Muslims in the west nor Afghan Culture as a whole. The whole show needs to be taken down for normalizing all sorts of immorality in the name of “Liberalism”! Help me request Hulu to take the show down! If the show aired for other seasons, the impact would be far greater!
