Numerous rodeos are held each year in Maryland. Animals are forced to participate while being wrestled to the ground, tied up, shocked, and more. This causes extreme mental and physical distress. Injuries and deaths occur. This is not "entertainment", it is animal abuse. Even children are encouraged to join in certain events, such as, "mutton busting" where kids ride on the backs of terrified and unwilling sheep. Some of these "events" occur at state sponsored "agricultural education centers". Heinous. I call on the Maryland State Legislature to BAN rodeos state-wide.
