Rabbits are third most popular pet choice in UK. All rabbit lovers know that bunnies are very sensitive and highly stressed animals. Sudden noise or busy environment can upset them to the point of getting very unwell. As a result they stop eating and can die in 8-12 hours. Often, unaware  people buy rabbits from pet shops just to take them home and find them dead shortly after. When waiting in shops to find their forever family, rabbits are kept in small cages and being fed unhealthy diet. Often, shop staff are unable to correctly identify their sex and either sell pairs of rabbits or females that are already pregnant. 
Just this week Florida voted in favour of rabbit retail sale ban and it’s time we act to protect our bunnies!
Every year thousands of unwanted rabbits end up in shelters. Many are being abandoned and released in parks as people think they can survive. They can’t!
