There is absolutely no doubt that artificial dyes like red 40 and yellow 5 have a detrimental impact on most Americans lives. These artificial dyes do nothing but harm your health. They don’t add flavor and they don’t preserve our food it is simply just for looks that can still be achieved from more natural options.

 There has been various studies on the effects of these dyes. Cognitive ability in many people has been on a decline due to the fact that we are consuming harmful substances. ADHD has become more prominent in children since the snacks we give them are heavy in chemicals.

  This campaign is solely to try and get some regulation on these dyes or ban it completely. There is so many other chemicals that we, as powerless as we are, must keep a look out for and do our own reaserch.  Other countries have banned/regulated certain dyes and chemicals which has made them a healthier country. This is going to help us be a healthier society. It doesn’t even have to be a complete ban. I am just looking for a way to have people be warned about what they are truly consuming. A warning label should be created with the product that contain these dyes.
