Ban real bear fur being used for the kings guards caps

The Issue

Despite a UK parliamentary debate held well over a year ago to discuss steps to ban and replace the real bear fur being used for the kings guards caps with a free faux fur alternative, black bears in Canada still continue to be barbarically killed for so called "sport" by hunters with crossbows and arrows in trophy like hunts in order to sell their pelts that this government purchases and therefore helps fund. It takes at least 1 black bear to make 1 single cap.

This is uneccessary, cruel and an expensive waste of money when PETA and faux fur brand ECOPEL have created alternative faux fur caps that look, feel and act exactly the same as real ones and tick all of the ministry of defence's boxes for suitability and they are even being offered free of taxpayer charge until 2030!

The government has spent more than 1 million pounds over 7 years on the fur for these caps! If the government would just switch to using the humane and free of taxpayer charge faux fur caps created by ECOPEL instead, that money could be better used to help repair our NHS, creating an NHS for pets/companion animals, free public transport etc, anything to help us all rather than spending the money on the uneccessary and cruel butchering of black bears with crossbows and arrows (including mother bears).

Please sign this petition if you agree enough is enough.

Thank you so much!
