Petitioning Ban Plastic Bags In The Lehigh Valley and 4 others

Charge 5 cents on all single use paper bags at retailers.

In the US we use 60,000 plastic bags every five seconds; most of these are thrown away. Plastics do not biodegrade. They break down into tiny fragments that can contaminate our soil and water. When plastic bags get loose in the environment they become an eyesore. Even worse is the potential danger they cause to animals and marine life who ingest them or get entangled in them. Now is the time to usher in a new wave of social responsibility and put a stop to the massive consumption of single-use, disposable plastics in your community!

Watch the preview of the documentary "Bag It" above. It will make you think twice before you say yes to plastic again!
