TURN OFF YOUR PHONE WHEN YOU’RE IN CLASS!  

How many times a day do you say it? 
How many times a day does your kids teacher say it?

You don’t know!

The solution is so very simple but no one is doing it!

Use the device the DOE provided.

DOE provided devices should be the only “log ons” to the school Network “during instruction times”. 

Currently, it is the responsibility of each individual teacher in the classroom to implement policy relating to device usage! 

This should be NYC DOE lead so that teachers can focus on teaching, not policing! 

Kids have free access to log onto the schools WiFi. Schools do not IT departments managing “Network Security”, “Firewalls” “Network Passwords”or “VPN users” on their Networks. Its a “free for all”.

NYC DOE needs to step up with school policies? City/State leadership need to take responsibility and govern our Department of Education.

Especially unfair to children with IEPs and kids who learn differently in the classroom they are being overlooked and not afforded a fair opportunity to learn without constant distraction.
