A pet store called Pats Pets (located in University Park Mall - 6501 N Grape Rd Mishawaka, IN 46545) was visited on 1/14/23. The pet store had horrible living conditions. It was extremely small and the cages the puppies were living in gave them no room to move around in. The cages were basically a closed lid plastic box that had multiple puppies in it. It gave them no clean air flow, had bottom grated type style vents which would not be good for their paws, and no food or water was visible in any of the cages. The puppies were malnourished looking and were literally stuck smelling their own filth because of their cage layout. They were most likely never taken out of cages during store hours unless someone wanted to see a puppy. I decided to create this petition to ban this pet store because puppies and other animals have feelings too. They deserve to have a chance to live a full healthy life while waiting for their forever home. This pet store is treating the puppies just as bad as someone who is abusing and neglecting their animals at home. Please take a few seconds out of your day to sign this petition so we can start holding pet stores accountable for how they treat the animals they are trying to make money off of.
