I am a young individual who loved drinking slush ice, just like many others my age. However, my enjoyment turned to concern when I discovered the dangers lurking within our favorite treat - glycerol. Consuming large amounts of glycerol over a short period can cause headaches, nausea, and vomiting in young children. In far more severe cases, it can lead to shock, hypoglycemia, even loss of consciousness. It is alarming how many of us consumers, particularly children, are uninformed about these potential risks.

These temporarily enjoyable beverages should not pose a long-term risk to our health, especially to the young consumer base they are so prevalent among. Therefore, this petition calls for the ban of glycerol in slush ice drinks or alternatively, a clear mandatory warning about the potential health consequences of its consumption.

We cannot stand by whilst children unwittingly consume potentially hazardous substances. This is a call for our community to stand for the safe consumption of products.
