Plastic Straws, Stirrers & Plastic stemmed Cotton Buds were banned in October 2020

November 2022, the Government launched a proposal to ban Single-use plastic plates, cutlery, expanded and extruded polystyrene cups and food and beverage containers

But one big single use non-recyclable waste is missing:  Coffee Cups

The massive global chains, like Starbucks, don't use recyclable cups, even though fully recyclable cups exist, just like the one pictured, which I was served in a Leeds independent: La Bottega Milanese.  This cup kept my drink warm and had no noticeable difference to a cup from a large chain.  So if we ban the non-recyclable versions (must be recyclable at home or existing street recycling bins, not some complex return system), the big chains will be forced to use recyclable.

To be clear I'm not proposing we ban single use coffee cups, but that we ban NON-recyclable single use coffee (soup, tea etc) cups (and lids!)
