The Issue

As a pet owner of four huskies, we dread the lead up to events like Bonfire Night and other celebrations involving fireworks. The noise from these fireworks terrifies out dogs, causing their heart rates to skyrocket and leading them into a state of hyperventilation. This is not an isolated incident; millions of pet owners share this heartbreaking experience as they watch their beloved animals suffer in fear.

Fireworks are not just a source of fun and celebration; they pose serious health implications for our pets. Dogs, cats, small animals - none are immune to the distress caused by loud noises. According to studies conducted by RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), 45% of dogs in the UK show signs of fear when they hear fireworks.

It's time we prioritized our pets' well-being over momentary entertainment. We call on lawmakers to ban loud noise fireworks and promote alternatives that can ensure both human enjoyment and animal safety.

Please sign this petition if you believe in creating a safer environment for our pets during celebratory occasions.
