The app "TikTok" has allowed its consumers to normalize crude behavior towards minors, irresponsibility, and alarming behavior. Lashay Hinton, usually referred to as the "Apple store girl" presents herself as an aspiring makeup artist from the city of Milwaukee, WI. She is the mother of two young sons of which she claims to raise alone. Lashay has a digital track record of abusive behavior towards her children, erratic behavior on the internet indicating some sort of mental illness, and she accumulates countless dollars from followers by presenting fabricated situations in order to fund her various addictions.

Over the past four years,  viewers have witnessed in real time Lashay:

-restricting food from her children

-neglecting her personal hygiene and her home

-verbally abusing her son in public

-consuming egregious amounts of alcohol and present with slurred speech and irrational thought patterns during drunken rants

-address her existing criminal record which indicates two charges of child neglect and great bodily harm towards her eldest son

-exhibit paranoid episodes and moments of rage by destroying her own property, threatening to harm herself, and being violent by punching and throwing items in front of her children

-neglecting her children's educational needs by being too hungover to take them to school for multiple days at a time

-demanding financial support from viewers under false pretenses and using the funds to support her alcohol addiction

- in December of 2022 viewers listened in horror as multiple children under her supervision engaged in questionable behavior that indicated the assault of a minor female who is her biological niece. The phrases "hold her arms for me", "kiss me Desi" and "stop touching my butt" could be heard as the minor female screamed "stop" and "mommy". During this particular incident Lashay was applying her wig and makeup and could be seen ignoring the incident as it occurred in order to not interrupt her Tiktok livestream.

This CLEARLY is not aligned with the user regulations Tiktok has in place. We should not allow individuals to profit off of abusive behavior and manipulation. We should not encourage and reward mothers who neglect their children for the perks of being an "influencer". We should not deem mental illness as simple personality traits.  As a society protecting our youth should always be a priority, and this is why Lashay should be prohibited from continuing to post abusive and alarming content. Fraudulently collecting money and charging viewers to consume content on a free app is in direct violation of Tiktoks written regulations. And abuse and neglect of children is a CRIME. Sacrificing humanity for the sake of social media fame should not be normalized, help us ban Lashay from Tiktok and her other various platforms.
