Tonight (Tuesday, 7/8) at 7:30 PM, the Yorktown Town Board is meeting, and this may be the last opportunity for you to tell them to BAN large-scale ground-mounted solar in residential districts before they make a decision.

Our message is clear:  
➡️ Ban large-scale ground-mounted solar in residential zones. No grandfathering.

Yorktown is a bedroom community. Industrial-scale solar developments do not belong in our neighborhoods. If allowed, these projects will permanently change the character of our town—replacing forests and open spaces with massive arrays that don’t belong near homes.

We’re not anti-solar. In fact, we fully support clean energy—done right.

 
There are better, smarter solutions that the Town Board has already acknowledged, including:

✔️ Rooftop solar
✔️ Solar on schools and municipal buildings
✔️ Solar canopies over parking lots

These alternatives make sense. They don’t require deforestation or disrupt the peaceful quality of life our community values.
