Ban IXL in all schools across the US!

The Issue

I am one among countless American students who experience high levels of stress due to the IXL learning platform. The requirement to complete multiple IXL assignments within short deadlines is not only overwhelming but has a significant negative impact on our mental health.

IXL, a popular online learning tool in the United States is currently used by millions of students across the country. While it is clearly designed with educational intentions, it has inadvertently become a source of great anxiety. The system not only puts pressure on students to complete numerous tasks within short durations but also measures our performance in a way that often damages our self-esteem and confidence.

Let's not forget the added burden this places on low-income students who may not have regular access to the internet or the necessary tools to complete these tasks, leaving them at a disadvantage.

It's time we spoke up against systems that put unnecessary pressure on us and start advocating for educational tools that enable and foster positive learning experiences. I am one among countless students asking for a more balanced, empathetic approach to our education. So, let's stand together and call for the end of mandatory IXL assignments in American schools. Please sign this petition and spread the word.
