Here is an update about how organizations in Malmoe actively are working to put the spotlight on the extremely problematic issue of having Israel competing in Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

So far pressure and information about Israel’s heinous crimes has made several artist pull out from their participation in the events surrounding ESC in Malmoe. 

The most high profile act so far (we are waiting on you Loreen) is Swedish group Medina who finished 2:nd place in the Swedish Song Contest 2024, they also shouted -

Nobody’s free until everyone is free!!!

Don’t we just love artists who takes a stand for humanity and against apartheid!!

There are also several organizations that puts pressure on Malmoe city itself, as they are being the enabler of letting Israel visit and perform in Malmoe, Sweden.

The fact that Malmoe is failing to uphold and preserve international humanitarian laws by having the EBU dictate its policies on them is not going unnoticed!

By having Israel performing live on stage in Malmoe 2024, the EBU willingly jeopardizes the safety and security for every country participating in this years ESC.

I really have issues with this. It’s a very arrogant and in some ways aggressive standpoint. How this standpoint is valid is very hard to understand, the only reason I can find for the EBU’s rigid standpoint is, that Israel basically paid for the whole event thru its sponsors Moroccan oil.

And knowing that makes it even more disgusting….. You pay, you stay. Regardless of being in the ICJ for plausible genocide, regardless of murdering over 15 000 children, regardless of torture, regardless of causing the largest starvation this century on the population in Gaza due to actively closing and stopping food, water and other necessities from entering Gaza.

You pay and dance, sing and compete and at the same time you wash away the blood from your hands.

Wild.
Imagine if the tables where turned and Palestinians inflicted the same amount of suffering on people residing in Israel…. There would have been resolutions in November.

Instead Israel will be performing on stage in Malmoe, all while they are due to leave a extreme and bloody mark in history as the most viscous, violent, and dangerous murderers in this century.
