Ban Iready for all schools across Ohio

The Issue

Iready is a popular website used to "Help" students. The people who are supporting ot and requiring it in schools aren't the ones impacted. I believe Iready is mental abuse, it tries to engage students with characters but while doing that fails to give clear instructions. Iready also fails to meet the learning needs of many students In the same way a live lesson can. There also is no space to show your work or anything. I am currently working on a Bridging pathway. 35 Lessons 30 minutes per lesson. For the pathway you need at least 80 percent to pass, and if you get even one question wrong on the quiz you end up failing and have to redo the practice and the quiz. It is not a website that is good for students mental health. It's ruining the minds of our children and burning our adults down with them. I want an engaging lesson that still teaches me, I want to take a break and not be pestered by the computer. I am aware that the state requires regular diagnostics but if we ban Iready then we can find a different diagnostic for students to take. Our teachers have told us if we have a problem to take a stand but when we stand up about Iready we are told to sit down. What path do you want us to take? a bunch of successful people? Or low class minimum wage mcdonalds workers because Iready has ruined us. If we don't act now we won't act ever. there will always be a reason to sit down but there's always another that says stand up.
