Ban Hunting with Hounds and Small Game Shooting

Ban Hunting with Hounds and Small Game Shooting
The Issue
Hunting with hounds, fox hunting, pheasant and bird shooting, and small game hunting are age-old practices that have persisted into the modern era, and rightly so, these practices are engrained into our society and are rich with history and culture, however with all good things comes change, it is time for change.
One of the most glaring problems with hunting using hounds and the shooting of wildlife is the immense cruelty involved. Foxes, birds, and small game are subjected to unnecessary suffering and torment, often pursued for hours by hounds or by unskilled hunters, this is not a quick painless death, but hours of torment; many of the sports are not aimed around the death of the animal but the pure experience therefore it will often 'suffer on the sidelines'. Yet it is their life at stake.
There is also a significant ecological impact. These forms of hunting disrupt local ecosystems, reducing biodiversity and threatening the survival of various species. When species populations are decimated in large numbers, it can lead to unintended consequences on the ecological balance, affecting other wildlife, plant species, crops and the overall environment and not only does this as previously said have an impact on the wildlife but the local people, farmers and those who "live off the land" a healthy lifestyle that should be accessible and supported in this day and age.
Join us in calling for an end to hunting with hounds, fox hunting, pheasant and bird shooting, and small game hunting. Demand legislation that reflects our commitment to protecting animals and their environments from unnecessary harm and exploitation. It's time for change. Sign the petition and make your voice heard for the welfare of wildlife and the preservation of nature.
