The journey is nothing short of a living nightmare, a grueling and terrifying ordeal that ends in a brutal death. Austria, for instance, is notorious for its horse breeding stables, where foals are often slaughtered immediately, a practice ironically supported by the state. In the 21st century, these actions should be regarded as relics of a bygone Middle Ages.
Equally abhorrent is the treatment of donkeys and mules. These gentle creatures face mass slaughter, and like horses, are subjected to long-distance transportation that causes immense distress.
