I am a student who, like many others, struggles with the pressures and stresses of homework. It's not just me; countless students across the nation feel the same way. Excessive homework not only suppresses creativity and social growth but also contributes to escalated stress levels among students, indirectly affecting their physical and mental health.

Research suggests that in secondary schools, homework benefits are limited unless it requires students to review and apply knowledge (Education Endowment Foundation). Yet, the reality is that many schools overload students with unproductive piles of work solely contributing to stress. Moreover, a study by the American Journal of Family Therapy found that students are receiving three times the recommended amount of homework.

We need to rethink education structures and prioritize student wellbeing. Let's strive for a balance that enhances both academic learning and overall wellness for our students.
