I am deeply troubled by the ongoing platform given to Hasan Piker, a figure whose public statements have consistently demonstrated hate, bigotry, and views that appear to sympathize with terrorism. As an individual with numerous Jewish friends and fellow Americans who were deeply offended by Piker's comments regarding the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers—one of the darkest days in American history—I am appalled at the thought of him being allowed to participate in the Democratic Convention in 2028. His statement that America "deserved" such a horrific attack is not only inflammatory but also deeply hurtful to the many victims and families affected by this tragedy.

The Democratic Party has long stood for values of inclusion, respect, and progress. Allowing a figure who has repeatedly expressed views that are antithetical to these values to participate in the party's leading event would not only be detrimental to the party's reputation but also alienating to many of its members and supporters.
