We, the citizens, business owners, and residents of Glendale, Arizona, are calling on our city leaders and law enforcement to take immediate action to ban all night cruising events - particularly the lowrider street gatherings that are turning our community into a hotspot for violence, public endangerment, and criminal activity.

These are not harmless car meetups. They have proven unsafe in Glendale and in cities across the country, repeatedly linked to:

• Gun violence and physical altercations
• Public intoxication, open drug use, and disorderly conduct
• Reckless driving, street racing, and blocked intersections
• Loud, disruptive noise late into the night
• Sidewalks crowded with loitering groups, blocking safe pedestrian access
•  Littering, vandalism, and reduced access to local businesses

Despite multiple complaints and police interventions, these gatherings continue to grow more dangerous. Families are afraid to leave their homes. Small businesses are losing customers. And entire neighborhoods are being overwhelmed by chaos and fear.

It’s time to act. We are demanding that the City of Glendale:

• Ban all night cruising events citywide
• Enforce that ban with regular patrols, citations, and towing
• Crack down on illegal street activity and public intoxication
• Clear public walkways and protect community access
• Support local businesses and residents impacted by the disruption

There is no longer any room for tolerance or delay. Glendale must put public safety first.
