Three opinion polls have shown that a massive 80% majority want the Irish Government to ban cruel fur farming.
A Red C Research poll conducted in October on behalf of Respect for Animals/ISPCA revealed that 80 per cent of the public want a fur farming ban.
An online poll carried out this month by farming network website, That's Farming, also found that 80 per cent support a ban on fur farming.
A majority of those who took part in the poll also said that they considered fur farming to be a "bad representation of the Irish agricultural industry".

In 2013, a TheJournal.ie poll also found that 80 per cent want fur farming banned.
The poll results should increase pressure on Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Agriculture Minister Michael Creed to do the right thing and put in place a long overdue ban.
