Ban Fox Hunting across the UK

Ban Fox Hunting across the UK

The Issue

Each year around 70,000-80,000 foxes are killed through fox hunting, a traditional sport in which hunters on horseback follow a pack of hunting dogs, aiming to pick up the scent of a fox, chase it, and kill it. In some cases, foxes are brutally dug out of their dens, their habitats, for the joy of hunters.

There is currently law stating that hunting is illegal, however, “trail hunting” in which hunters still follow the hounds that trace the scent is still permitted. This often results in fox deaths regardless due to the dogs themselves killing the foxes.

I believe this should change and that hunting animals for sport in any manner should become illegal. It is important to act now and prevent any further harm to innocent animals.
