From the start this race has done nothing but harm our city.

From forcing our tax dollars to be wasted changing functional roads to the constant construction and traffic and the impact felt by small businesses and strip workers.

Formula One is clearly only beneficial for Formula One. Not for Las Vegas residents nor small businesses. Small businesses have faced excessive traffic reducing their ability to stay open since their shops are less accessible.

F1 is now covering pedestrian bridges across the strip with opaque tint ruining the views of the strips burdening tourists vacations they spend hard earned money on. 

Even casinos are being extorted for payments under threat of putting up structures to block the race view This is extortion and a absolute eye soar and a massive waste of tax dollars. 

This race is hurting residents through wasted tax dollars and excessive traffic and road closures, small business through reduced or no access to shops for many months on end, Casinos by extorting them and making the strip ugly. They cut down the Bellagio trees to make room for the hideous stands. 

Somehow this is being pitched to us as a benefit that will "bring money to Vegas" Vegas has extremely rich tourists year round and has no issues attracting people with money to our city. 100,000 expected attendees for less than a week is not going to make a impact on our economy at all. We host bigger events all the time that don't burden literally every demographic in our entire city.

Also fair to mention most Vegas residents have also been priced out of attending the race that's ruining out own city. It's okay though we can just watch on TV. The Race occurs super late at night when most residents will be in bed preparing for a miserable commute to work the next day.

This race is clearly here to benefit one group of people. Formula One itself. They invaded out city used our tax money to make out city ugly. The worst part... Were currently enrolled for 10 years of this malarkey... We need to show Formula One that they are not welcome here. They treated our city, our residents, our businesses like garbage. It needs to be known that Vegas stands against Formula 1.
