I’m starting a petition asking Horry County to end its use of Flock automated license plate readers.

I’m pro-public safety. I’m also pro-privacy.

Thousands of ordinary people shouldn’t have their vehicles photographed and location information collected simply because they’re driving down a public road.

If police are investigating a crime, give them the tools they need.

But investigating a suspect and collecting information about everybody are two very different things.
