It’s now been a little over 8 days since Baldr was poisoned by rat bait in our yard. So far, he’s shown no symptoms which a huge relief after a very tense week. We’ve now moved beyond the highest-risk period, and every day that passes gives us more reason to hope he’s out of danger.

This experience has opened my eyes to how common and devastating these poisonings are. Pets, wildlife, and even children are at risk from products that are still sold on store shelves.
