This update comes in response to a comment asking why the petition focuses on pets and am I not concerned with wildlife or rats and the slow suffering from this poision. I truly appreciate that question and it’s an important one.

While my dog’s poisoning was the catalyst for starting this petition, the issue extends far beyond our homes. Rat poisons cause immense suffering for wildlife, pets, and even pose risks to children.

I chose to focus on my dog’s story because it’s what I’m personally experiencing right now, and personal stories often help raise awareness and inspire change. But the ultimate goal is broader: to help protect all living beings and ecosystems from these dangerous, unnecessary products.

Every signature helps push for safer, humane alternatives and stronger regulations that protect pets, wildlife, and families alike. Thank you to everyone continuing to share, sign, and speak up and together, we can make real change happen.
