The Issue

This issue is deeply personal to many, including those who have pets, faced warfare, and those with special needs. The distress caused by loud fireworks affects not only animals in the wild but also our beloved domestic pets, particularly dogs. Heartbreaking stories circulate about dogs bolting in fear, with some going missing or even dying at home due to the trauma induced by these loud explosions.

Not just animals, humans too face this distress. The thundering echoes of fireworks can trigger flashbacks in our brave military veterans who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Similarly, children and adults with Autism or additional learning needs find the intense noise levels of traditional fireworks distressing, as can elderly individuals.

In response, we are advocating for a ban on the sale of disruptive, noisy fireworks and promoting the mass production of silent fireworks instead. Silent fireworks provide a visually stunning display without the loud noise, making them a far more considerate and inclusive choice for all involved.

We ask you to stand with us in challenging the conventions, in reducing noise pollution and transform how we experience celebrations, making them inclusive and enjoyable for everyone, including our furry friends and family members dealing with sensitivity to loud noises. Kindly sign for the sake of quieter skies and more peaceful nights. Sign to ban loud fireworks and encourage silent fireworks.
